“we”, “us”, “our” or “company” means What’s My Pension Limited and any subsidiary within the meaning given in Section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006 and any others that we may employ or contract to bring you the services. What's My Pension is a trading name of What’s My Pension Limited. “You” or “your” or “customer” may mean the person accessing the website and/or using and receiving our services.
The “website” means the website and the constituent pages of Whatsmypension.com.
We offer an impartial service for anyone who has benefits in a UK pension arrangement. Based on the information you provide, we will trace your pensions and show the expected benefits in an easy to read, easy to understand Pension Summary Statement. What's My Pension are not financial advisors or sellers of financial products.
The price you pay will relate to the number of pension arrangements you have (and therefore the amount of work we need to do). We don't work on commission. The total price will be quoted prior to you placing your order. We have to take payment in advance, as we start work immediately on receipt of your proof of identity.
We reserve the right to change the price at which this service is offered, without prior notice.
The pension tracing we enact on your behalf constitutes a service under the above regulations. By making your payment through the checkout, you are agreeing to waive your right under paragraph 10 of the Regulations to cancel the contract once the performance of the service has begun.
You also agree to waive your rights to a refund of your payment should we be unable to deliver your Pension Summary Statement within 30 days as set out in paragraph 19 of the Regulations. This is because we rely on third parties as described under “Delivery arrangements”.
Before we can provide you with the final statement, you will need to provide personal information as well as information about your pension arrangements. The data you give is to help us trace your pension arrangements and we therefore rely on the accuracy of the information you provide when producing the Pension Summary Statement. Without sufficient detail there is more of a risk we will be unable to trace all of your arrangements.
You will also need to provide us with proof of your identity and current address. This is in order to prevent identity fraud and misuse of your personal data.
We are unable to commit to binding timescales in delivering your Pension Summary Statement. This is because we are reliant on a number of third party organisations for providing us with written information about your pensions. These include the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and your pension providers. However we will endeavour to send you your statement by Royal Mail first class post as soon as possible after we have received and checked all the relevant information from your providers. At this time you will also be able to view your statement via your account on our secure website, and we will notify you by email when this is available.
If you have opted not to receive a paper copy of your statement, an email notifying you that your statement is available on-line will constitute delivery.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Information collected from you will only be used by authorised employees within the company as required. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. We will investigate any unauthorised actions upon becoming aware of such actions.
We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such, any information you provide, including your records may be passed to third parties. However, your information will not be divulged to any third party other than our suppliers and information sources and if legally required to do so, to the appropriate authorities. Your personal information will only be used to provide the services and to notify you of any new services we think will be of interest to you. You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you by emailing your request to support@whatsmypension.com (a small administration charge will be payable). We will not sell, share or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited e-mails. The use of your personal information and the e-mails will solely be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products and you may opt out of email communication using the option on the My Account page of this website.
